Every great move of God begins with a seed of obedience. For The House of Christ Ministries, that seed was planted decades ago through the unwavering faith, personal sacrifice, and resilient spirit of our founding father, (Late) Pastor Mushtaq Raza.
In 1998, driven by an overwhelming love for Christ, Pastor Mushtaq Raza began pastoring a United Presbyterian church in Lahore. His heart beat for the less fortunate and the underprivileged. He longed to bring the hope of the Gospel to those who needed it most. Despite many challenges and church politics, Pastor Mushtaq remained faithful to the Kingdom of God. Through personal sacrifice and generosity, he purchased and donated land in Wasim Park, Nishter Colony, establishing St. Peter’s Church. His dedication to ministry was so deep that he built his family home beside the church to live among the people he served. For years, he faithfully led the church in the Presbyterian tradition until he experienced a powerful spiritual awakening through the Holy Spirit. This transformed the ministry into a non-denominational, Spirit-filled, Bible-based church — the same identity The House of Christ carries today.
Although Pastor Mushtaq raised many pastors over the years, he often wondered who would continue the ministry legacy. His deepest prayer was for his son, Zaeem Raza, to stand beside him in ministry. During that time, Zaeem struggled with addiction and was far from God, bringing deep sorrow to his father’s heart. Yet Pastor Mushtaq never stopped praying. In 2015, through Every Nation Church Pakistan, Zaeem experienced a radical encounter with Jesus Christ. He was saved, delivered, and transformed through the power of God. Seeing God’s faithfulness fulfilled, Pastor Mushtaq eventually handed the mantle of ministry to his son. On March 5th, 2026, after faithfully serving the Kingdom for many years, Pastor Mushtaq Raza peacefully went home to be with the Lord.
On March 6th, 2022, Pastor Zaeem Raza and his wife, Mrs. Florence, stepped forward into leadership and launched a new chapter known as The House of Christ Ministries. What began as a single neighborhood church has now grown into a thriving Spirit-filled movement with nearly 700 believers in Nishter Colony alone, all committed to the teachings of the Holy Bible and the mission of Jesus Christ.
